Founder’s Letter

You love the Bay Area. Maybe you’ve lived there your entire life and can’t imagine leaving. We were in your shoes once ourselves. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. We lived in Woodside, loved good restaurants and all the dynamics of the Bay Area. Our children were in great private schools. We were the last people you’d think would leave the Bay Area… for the Sacramento area?

Yet we took the plunge and are here today to tell you it was the best decision we could have made. We sold our Bay Area home, bought a new, larger home and put money in the bank to boot. We see our neighbors and socialize with them…something we never had the time for in the Bay Area. People are friendly.  Neighbors are there for you when you need them. The biggest change? We have time to enjoy the life we’ve worked so hard to create.

It’s not retirement for most of us, but simply a more balanced life. Many of us still work for a living and appreciate that telecommuting into the Bay Area for a critical meeting is an achievable option. The people who re-locate here tend to be physically active and involved in their community. We love it here and feel we’ve found a region that to us, combines the best of the Bay Area with homes and lifestyle factors you just can’t find there.
